March 03, 2015
Honeywell recently completed its acquisition of Datamax-O'Neil, a global manufacturer of fixed and mobile printers used in a variety of retail, warehouse and distribution, and health care applications, in a $185 million deal announced this past December.
Building on existing printing capabilities acquired with Intermec, the acquisition of Datamax-O'Neil's product portfolio augments Honeywell's ability to deliver enhanced workflow performance, and positions Honeywell Scanning & Mobility to expand even further in the $1.5 billion global barcode printing segment.
“We've been at the forefront of the AIDC industry for more than 40 years &endash; helping customers be more efficient in how they move and track assets from one location to another, and process the information related to those transactions,” said John Waldron, president, Honeywell Scanning & Mobility. “Today is an exciting day for Honeywell and Datamax-O'Neil as we join together to meet and exceed the needs of our combined customers while staking out a leadership role in the estimated $1.5 billion global barcode printing segment.”
